Should Sam start our best 11 against Bristol City?
On Saturday we will be playing a Div 1 team that we should beat easily, but we are West Ham and all have memories of defeat snatched from the potential of a glorious victory.

Ginge and Tomkins were both injured yesterday and some players took heavy knocks including Valencia and Downing. Noble and Song are still coming back from injury so does BFS potentially risk our push up the league or play a weakened team on Saturday?

Is it a minor dilemma or should we go all out for cup glory?

Yes. They have a full week to recover so no excuses. We need to be professional and take this game seriously as they are in good form and will be bang up for it.

Yes - a full week recovery until the Liverpool game.

YES!!

No brainer. The players will have 6 days to recover and we should go out all guns blazing.

Hopefully we will win well but it's not going to be easy. We could do without a reply but a draw wouldn't be the worst result in the world.

Still think the FA Cup could be our best chance for Europe.

6th place will be a real battle. If we're still 7-8th after the next tough 7 then I could believe it.

We shouldn't need the likes of Carroll and Song to beat them.

I'd still have them on the bench though.

The only real problem with this game is getting a ticket.

If two CB's are out, then Reid and Burke. Full team otherwise.

The game is on Sunday lunchtime live BBC.

We're 4/5 at the moment so have put a few pennies on.
Hopefully Sam has learnt from Forest etc., regarding team selection.

Hope you're well Banjo.

He will.
He said on talksport this morning he hopes we have a long cup run and that it'd be a waste of time having beaten everton to then lose to bristol.

A division 1 team who will probably be in the championship next season and who have only lost once at home in all competitions this season.

Anything short of our best team would be a disgrace.

Would like to give downing and jenko a breather, we don't have anyone to cover for downing though unless Morrison makes a better come back than Lazarus

Is maybe rest song and bring poyet in, just because song is so important and has been ill

Key will be taking players off ASAP if we get a cushion - but bristol city need to be taken seriously, they're better than half the crap in the championship

7th may be enough this year as the Cup runners up no longer go into Europe

I would normally agree about resting song but he looks like he needs to get some games in his legs after that little lay off, same with noble

Hell yes!

A no brainier.

We are not going to get relegated but we won't make Europe so the FA cup represents a real chance for us.

Plus Bristol City should not be under estimated.

Top League ons side

No more than an average CCC side, doubt they would trouble the top 10.

Against a top 10 Premiership side??
